The Heinz Kaempfer Fund Thesis Award is presented biennially and carries a prize of 1000 Euros for the author of an outstanding Bachelor\u2019s or Master\u2019s thesis in the field of Japanese art and visual culture, written in the context of a Bachelor or Master programme provided by a European university. In addition the winner is given the opportunity to publish their findings in Andon, the journal of the Society for Japanese Art. The necessary coaching and assistance is part of the Award. Moreover, the winner is given a choice of books from Brill Publishers<\/a> to the amount of 200 Euros.<\/p>\n\n\n\n The thesis may be written in Dutch, English, German or French. The jury president is Menno Fitski, curator of East Asian art at the Rijksmuseum in Amsterdam.<\/p>\n\n\n\n In order to qualify for the 2022 Heinz Kaempfer Fund Thesis Award, applicants must submit a Bachelor\u2019s or Master\u2019s thesis that was approved by the applicant\u2019s supervisor(s) during the academic years 2019-2020 or 2020-2021. Theses may be submitted until 15 January 2022.
