Son \u0153uvre puissante et audacieuse, en vers libres, s\u2019inscrit initialement dans des th\u00e9matiques f\u00e9ministes qui croisent les questions du corps, de la sexualit\u00e9, de la langue, de la domination. Apr\u00e8s \u00eatre rest\u00e9e plus de vingt ans en Californie, IT\u00d4, de retour au Japon, \u00e0 Kumamoto, explore aujourd\u2019hui dans une perspective bouddhiste les contours de la maladie et de la mort. Auteure d\u2019une douzaine de recueils po\u00e9tiques, elle a \u00e9galement publi\u00e9 des romans et des essais importants.
