国際日本文化研究センター（日文研）では、研究者の交流を目的として、担当者が最新の学術的なテーマを話題として発表する会を「木曜セミナー」として開催しています。第274回木曜セミナーのテーマは：

「縮小する社会での文化創造を考える」

概要

日本の人口は減りつづけるといわれている。そうした時代に文化はどのように変わっていくのかをテーマに、３年間の共同研究会を行った。成果は刊行予定の論集に加えて、京都国際マンガミュージアムでの展示という形でも発信した。今回のセミナーでは、研究会での議論のなかから、縮小社会の文化創造に不可欠ともいえる「価値観の転換」について語る。最初に共同研究会代表者の山田奨治が研究会と展示のあらましを説明する。つづいて山下典子氏（独立研究者）がアグリツーリズムについて、服部正教授（甲南大学）が大阪の障害者施設「西淡路希望の家」での創作活動を紹介し、参加者とディスカッションを行う。

La Section d’Études japonaises de l’UFR LCAO (Université Paris Cité) est heureuse d’accueillir cette année Ajima Noriaki (professeur à l’universite de Hiroshima), qui va donner un séminaire conjoint aux étudiants en master de l’EPHE (Matthias Hayek) et LCAO (Midori Hirose), intitulé :

« Les trésors secrets du temple Onjōji (Miidera) : un nouveau regard sur le bouddhisme ésotérique japonais »

Ce séminaire présente une analyse du rouleau Gobushinkan du temple Onjōji (Ōtsu, département de Shiga). Ce document apporte un éclairage particulier sur les représentations des bouddhas dans le mandala du monde du diamant . C’est une occasion unique de découvrir ce trésor national datant de 855, ramené de Chine par le moine Enchin (814-891), et qui est en général inaccessible au public.

Kaori Hayashi is Professor of Media and Journalism Studies at the Graduate School of Interdisciplinary Information Studies, the University of Tokyo. She is Executive Vice President of the University of Tokyo in charge of global and diversity affairs, as well as Director of the B’AI Global Forum, which was set up within the Institute for AI and Beyond at the University of Tokyo. She is a contributor and columnist for a variety of media including Asahi Shimbun, one of the largest national dailies in Japan. She was a visiting scholar at Northwestern University in 2016, hosted by the Abe Fellowship at the Social Science Research Council. Her most recent English publications include “The Silent Public in a Liberal State: Challenges for Japan’s Journalism in the Age of the Internet” in The Crisis of Liberal Internationalism. Japan and the World Order. Edited by Yoichi Funabashi and G. John Ikenberry. Brookings Institution Press, 2020, 325-358; “Gendered power relations in the digital age: An analysis of Japanese women’s media choice and use within a global context” in Feminist Media Studies.

The spread of new technologies such as AI and digitalization have a various impact on Japanese labor market. Based on Japanese workers data, I show the evidence how the introduction and utilization of new technologies affect the employment, wages, work hours, tasks, well-being including mental health and job engagement. It is shown that no major negative effects observed so far in Japanese labor market, rather some positive effects on wages, work hours, and well-being can be found. It is also shown that task transformation from routine to non-routine abstract one as well as necessary IT and data analysis skill formation are highly important.

Isamu Yamamoto is Professor of labor economics at the Faculty of Business and Commerce, Keio University. He serves as Director of the Panel Data Research Center at Keio University. Previously, he was a senior economist at the Bank of Japan. He received his Ph.D. in Economics from Brown University.

After the Tokyo 2020 Olympic and Paralympic Games, Paris is now planning the Olympics for 2024. The Olympics thus form a veritable common thread between the two global cities and call for questioning their convergence and their dissimilarities. Are Paris and Tokyo experiencing similar real estate dynamics? Are they facing the same challenges? Do they provide the same political responses? This session thus tends to confront the urban trajectories of Paris and Tokyo from a critical reflection on the real estate dynamics that animate the two capitals. As such, real estate is not simply a matter of the production of buildings: it constitutes the living environment of a predominantly urban population, and partly determines the size of households, the number of children, consumption practices, the dynamics of mobility, lifestyles… In this sense, real estate is the marker of multiple economic and structural transformations, affecting as much the economy as demography, planning, sociology, the environment, or public policy again. This session aims to reflect on the future of our societies and their horizon of collective desirability based on an analysis of contemporary real estate dynamics in Paris and Tokyo. 

SHIMIZU Chihiro, Ph.D., is professor at Hitotsubashi University (Tokyo, Japan), member of the Statistics Commission in Japan and affiliate researcher of the Center of Real Estate at Massachusetts Institute of Technology (USA). His areas of expertise are Index Theory, Real Estate Economics, Applied Econometrics and Machine Learning. He has published numerous articles and books in Japan. The last one is Issues and prospects of real estate appraisal :『不動産鑑定評価の課題と展望 （鑑定評価の社会的意義と面白さがわかる！）』住宅新報出版 、2022年

Arnaud SIMON is an associate professor in finance and management, and co-director of the Center for Real Estate Management of Paris Dauphine University. Specialist of real estate market analysis in Europe, he was the scientific director Meilleurs Agents, and is now the one of CLAMEUR (Connaître les Loyers et Analyser les Marchés sur les Espaces Urbains et Ruraux). He wrote numerous articles in international peer-review journals, and is the co-author of an Introduction to Real Estate Finance and Economics (Introduction à la finance et à l’économie de l’immobilier).

After a PhD in Management Sciences at Paris Dauphine University, Yasmine ESSAFI was an associate professor at ESPI Paris (Ecole Supérieure des Professions Immobilières). She works now at Dubai as an expert of globalized real estate markets.
