“Occupied by Play. Rethinking Reading and Learning in Japan“

This is an interdisciplinary workshop (game studies, language education, popular culture, and literature), which moves across early modern, modern, and contemporary Japan. The programme includes twelve presentations, a roundtable, and a keynote by Prof. Peter Burke.
